Sage Fogle (they/them) is a sought-after vocal and instrumental collaborator based in Boston. They regularly appear as a recitalist, with a particular affinity for German Lieder. Experienced in the standard operatic repertoire, Sage was the rehearsal pianist for MassOpera's 2023 production of Mozart's The Magic Flute and has played several events with the Boston Opera Collaborative. They regularly work with emerging artists on recordings and auditions, and play for lessons with several top Boston voice teachers. In addition to working with individual singers, Sage also works with choral groups and has recently appeared with the Handel and Haydn Society, Voices Rising, and choirs at Wellesley College.

Sage has worked in lesson and master class settings with Sandra Eddy, Gary Matthewman, Warren Jones, Gustavo Halley, Barbara Bonnie and Ulrich Eisenlor. Their teachers have included Dr. Spencer Myer, Renana Gutman and Dr. Sungeun Kim. Sage currently studies with J.J. Penna.

Sage lived in southern Austria for two summers studying at the American Institute of Musical Studies in both the Opera and the Lieder studios. There they worked to refine their skills in not only collaborative piano, but also diction, interpretation, and the German language.

Sage holds the Masters Degree in Collaborative Piano from the Longy School of Music of Bard College and the Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Music History from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. They are currently on the Collaborative Piano staff at Boston Conservatory and Berklee School of Music and are Director of Music at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Medford, MA.

Outside of music, Sage enjoys working with children in various learning environments, biking, and gardening.
